What is a Scope

A “scope” is a unique skill or discipline that a member has that can be used to further the mission of the Dev Team and enhance the roleplay for the MidwestRP members.

Software Developers

Software Developers are responsible for creating scripts for FiveM and any MidwestRP software-related needs. This includes creating FiveM Resources using LUA, C#, HTML, Javascript, or Discord Bots with Python.

Graphic Designers

Graphic Designers are responsible for creating any graphic assets the community may need, including logos, banners, vehicle liveries, clothing texturing, and more.

Modelers

Modelers are responsible for designing and creating the vehicles or objects we use on the server. The Modeler Team will also edit and maintain vehicle meta files.

Wiki Team

The Wiki Team leads and maintains the community Wiki, which contains a how-to guide on most of the resources and tools available on the FiveM server.

Development Assistant

As a Development Assistant, you'll work closely with our developers to enhance the FiveM experience.

Responsibilities include:

  • Contributes to development of new and updated resources in team channels and project threads.

  • Testing Support: Assist developers with early testing specific projects, such as vehicle handling, identifying small bugs, gathering coordinates, collecting model names or locations, and evaluating assets. Including being the first to test projects.

  • Documentation: Assist the Wiki Team, checking for errors, out of date information, incorrect procedures, etc.

  • Bug Tracking: Monitor and document bugs, ensuring bug reports are detailed, accurate, and actionable.

  • Community Engagement: Support community beta testing by answering questions, collecting feedback, and fostering collaboration.

  • Beta Team: Train and guide new Beta Team members in proper feedback, how and what to test, community support issues and general questions.

  • Script Configuration (Optional): Under developer guidance, configure scripts, input coordinates, test configuration values, or perform other technical tasks as needed.

  • Flexible Contributions: Assist with various tasks as requested by the development team to support ongoing projects.

  • Additional responsibilities may be added as the role evolves.

Requirements: To succeed as a Development Assistant, you should:

  • Possess strong technical skills and proficiency with Windows.

  • Be able to commit at least 1–2 hours per week to support the team.

  • Maintain good standing within the community.

  • Demonstrate a willingness to contribute to a variety of projects.

  • (Optional) Have an interest in configuring scripts or performing technical tasks under developer supervision.
